Hiring Unit: Department of Biochemistry Course Title and Course Number: Protein Structure and Function - BIOC 450 Estimated Number of Positions: 2 (Two) Total Hours of Work per Term: 85 hours per position Contract Period: Fall Term 2025 - Wednesday, August 27, 2025 to Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Position Summary: Be present at lectures personally and help students, answer questions. Aid students via myCourses. Be available to answer e-mail inquiries or direct questions. Hours flexible. Provide a review session upon completion of each course section. Help grading questions throughout the semester as discussed with course coordinators and instructors. Possibility of grading exams. Qualifications: IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant, students are required to be enrolled in a graduate program in the same semester that they are applying for the Teaching Assistantship. Enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry at McGill University. Qualified candidate must have received final grade of “A” in BIOC 450. Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.
