GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Field Technician should possess excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and telephone etiquette. The Field Technician will be responsible for offering support to all associates and systems in the company. The chosen candidate will have above average ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Provide both on site and remote field level IT technical support for our districts across Ontario. Assist in the planning and execution of technical projects as required. As a Field Technician, the minimum responsibilities are: • Must be able to communicate with individuals and professionals at all levels of the organization including executives in clear English • Must have good organizational skills and be able to work independently • Must have basic project management skills and ability to work with external contractors • Must have to ability to research and figure out their own solutions • Technical level support for IOS and Android devices (Primarily phones) • Technical level support for Microsoft O365 Environment • Technical level support for Windows Operating Systems • Technical level support to install and setup network printers • Strong understanding of Ethernet cabling types, and their termination • Familiarity with Cisco IOS and Meraki Products • Familiarity with Citrix environments • Familiarity with fiber optic cabling • Familiarity with Ubiquiti Products and their Unifi OS. • Familiarity with Audio/Visual equipment such as Video Teleconferencing devices, projectors, and any presentation hardware WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: • Comply with company IT security policies • Comply with company safety policies • Valid driver’s license and own your own vehicle • Be willing to travel to various sites in Ontario • Ability to be away from home from more than 2-3 days • Working at heights and operating man lift equipment (Will provide training) • Be willing to occasionally work weekends or extended hours • Must be physically able to lift up to 50Lbs and climb ladders WHAT YOU’LL GET FROM US: • Competitive Wages • Retirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your future • Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision • Perks, perks, perks!
