Unposting Date: 2025-05-20 11:59 PM Your role Radio-Canada Saskatchewan is looking for an energetic and enterprising associate producer who will play a vital supporting role. You will be assigned to collect, write and broadcast material for all our media platforms. You will participate in the production, production and/or post-production of a program or program segment. You can regularly seek the advice, guidance and guidance of one or more directors, but you have some leeway to demonstrate initiative and independent judgment. The work must be consistent with CBC policies, practices and standards for journalism and broadcasting. The work may involve coordinating the activities of others, and it is essential to work closely with the issuing unit. Key tasks: Provide ideas for the content of a show; participate in establishing the objectives of a program. Acquired studios, crews, lines, uplinks, reportage cars, and other technical and production resources needed for the show on behalf of all directors and freelancers. Help develop the content of the program, especially from the point of view of texts, research or editing. Prepare scenarios and ensure they conform to the style and formula of the show. Organize the participation of interviewees, creative staff and other collaborators, develop context, introduction and questions, carry out or commission any necessary research and brief facilitators. Keep contact files. Process invoices and obtain the necessary authorization signatures. Participate in the evaluation of all aspects of production; Perform the following tasks as required: Choose music, sound effects or real scenes. Realize emission elements. Directing a program, live or recorded, in the studio or outdoors. Assign, direct and coordinate the work of other staff working on a project for which the director is responsible. Mount and mix sound and visual elements, or direct editing and mixing. Write concatenations, edit texts, edit and prepare voice messages for broadcast or publication. Include programs and music in the appropriate information systems. Assemble, code, digitize and index sound and digital images for a website and social networks using appropriate technologies. Help maintain a level of communication or rapport with the audience that is at the same time achievable and appropriate to the style and nature of the program. Perform other production and administration tasks associated with the proper operation of the newsroom, program unit or station. We are looking for a candidate with the following profile: University education or equivalent At least two (2) years of relevant experience in which the candidate has been exposed to journalism, computer science and broadcasting technology, television broadcasting and online services Experience in interviewing guests, preparing questions, writing targeted introductions, and preparing and writing recorded segments Ability to demonstrate originality and creativity in producing news for radio, television and online services, and proven writing skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: good team spirit Be comfortable with the demands and needs of news production on radio, television and online Strong sense of organization; ability to perform a number of functions efficiently and quickly Ability to solve problems independently and through group discussions (open to new ideas and approaches) Availability to work flexible hours and work overtime Understanding of the structure and workflow at CBC/Radio-Canada, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with counterparts in other centers Solid knowledge/understanding of Saskatchewan, as well as issues affecting the Fransaskois community Please include a link to your website, blog or video in your cover letter.
