Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 05/22/2025 About this opportunity: The D&IT Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture will play a pivotal role in Cenovus Energy, overseeing the development and integration of D&IT and AI strategies to align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This position is ideal for a strategic leader with expertise in enterprise architecture and AI technologies, responsible for driving innovation, governance, and scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency across the company. The role will also include the development and management of comprehensive technology roadmaps for both D&IT and AI, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term business goals and identifying key opportunities for future technological advancements. What you’ll do: Lead the development and execution of enterprise architecture strategies to support Cenovus’s corporate mission and vision Champion the integration of AI into Cenovus’s enterprise architecture, ensuring AI technologies enhance decision-making, automation, and business outcomes Develop and manage comprehensive D&IT and AI roadmaps, aligning technology advancements and AI adoption with broader business objectives Oversee the architectural review process, ensuring AI and D&IT solutions meet enterprise standards and governance requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI technologies across business operations Evaluate and select AI-driven technologies to enhance business processes and technical architectures Drive continuous improvement in AI applications and architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimizing operational efficiency Manage financial stewardship, ensuring D&IT and AI investments align with company goals, and oversee budget forecasts, cost modeling, and ROI analysis Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: Legally authorized to work in Canada Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree or advanced certifications in AI or Enterprise Architecture considered an asset 16+ years of leadership experience in D&IT, with a focus on both AI and non-AI integration Proven track record of managing both AI-driven and non-AI technology architecture projects Strong expertise in AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and AI governance, along with a deep understanding of non-AI driven technologies Experience in developing enterprise architecture strategies and aligning them with business and technology goals Solid experience in managing D&IT budgets, cost modeling, and ensuring ROI for both AI and non-AI technology investments TOGAF, CCSP, CISSP, ISO or relevant certification consider an asset Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
