As an equipment operator with us the minimum responsibilities are: Know and embrace the company’s operating values Daily placement, compaction and covering of waste using CAT 950 Loader as well as Skid steer/Bobcat and forklift equipment as needed Grow and promote the site’s safety culture by maintaining a safe, clean working environment Operate heavy equipment in a proficient and safe manner, while avoiding preventable damage to equipment Communicate verbally and in writing with the scale and the shop as required, in a clear and courteous manner Create an environment where the customer feels welcomed Daily communicate via Daily Inspection Reports any defects or repairs needed Perform all fluid level checks, fueling, greasing, undercarriage cleaning, etc. as required Keep equipment, compactors and yard maintained daily, and clean of debris Hours of Operation: Location assigned based on business needs 117 Advance Blvd operating hours projected at 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday 650 Creditstone, Vaughan primary shift times of of either 4:00am to 1:30pm or 8:00am to 5:30pm What We Need From You: 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator: enclosed waste facility experience is an asset Ability to work well with others, team-work is the key Experience in the safe operation of: skid steer, excavator, loader and forklift, etc. Availability to work during facility equipment maintenance and cleaning (typically one afternoon per week encompassing the regular workday and 2-3 hours of overtime) Availability to work alternating Saturdays from 6:00am to 1:00pm (or similar if required) Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
