The Truck Driver transports and delivers goods (bulk and general cargo), both raw materials and finished goods (from supplier to business and business to customer) according to data on the shipping documents in order to realize timely, efficient and safe transport and delivery. The complexity of the job of a chauffeur depends on two main factors: (1) the complexity of maneuvering the vehicle, whether it is a van, a truck or a trailer/combi-truck, (2) complexity of the transport, the route and the number of countries that are passed during the trip. The truck Driver should be flexible to work in Rosenort and Otterburne locations. Must be able to drive Manual / Standard transmission KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Plant Manager, you are responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient and timely delivery of feed products; while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service. Delivers loads of feed as assigned Vehicle care and maintenance Performs daily pre-trip and weekly truck/trailer inspections Maintains accurate log book (E-log) Performs all paperwork according to business requirements PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA Grade 12 or equivalent and Minimum 3 years truck & trailer driving preferred Knowledge & operation experience on rural roads an asset AZ/Class 1 license with clean driver’s abstract Some heavy physical effort is required; ability to lift up to 25 kg bags of feed Feeds hauling experience is an asset Positive work ethic and attitude; willingness and ability to learn; strong team and interpersonal skills Self-motivated – able to work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrate a commitment to customer service Casual, Part-time position We are committed to employment equity, and we encourage applications from qualified individuals, including women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities.
