This position will solicit and analyze quotations from suppliers, negotiating pricing, payment terms and stocking levels that support production requirements. Prepare request for bids to suppliers, ensure supply agreements are in place, lead purchasing support of new product initiatives (protypes, EP, MP) and maintain dual sources to mitigate risk and maintain suppliers' competitiveness. Evaluate and maintain supplier reliability, develop new supply sources, visit suppliers’ facilities, and needed, ensure suppliers meet PPAP requirements. Support Buyer activities where necessary. Work with leadership to identity cost-saving opportunities. Your tasks Bachelor's degree required in business, materials management, operations management or related field. APICS-Purchasing Certification a plus International Supply Chain Management experience Five years progressive management and supervisory experience preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills SAP along with Intermediate level of PC literacy and basic understanding of integrated Manufacturing software systems. Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines Experience in VMI Your profile Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules. Develops and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors in close cooperation with global procurement department. Able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
