The Plant Controller is responsible for managing the financials (Controlling and Accounting) of our manufacturing facility in West Columbia, South Carolina, USA. This person will work directly with plant leadership on the P&L, costing, and overall profit. The Plant Controller is reporting directly to the Senior Director Production (local) and functionally to the Senior Director Controlling Supply Chain (global). Your tasks PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Report, reconcile, analyze, and verify accounting records Inform and communicate the results and assumptions behind various analysis of manufacturing and consolidations of accounts to business partners Maintain accounting records in conformance with the corporate wide accounting policies expressed in GARM Prepare monthly closing data Maintain an orderly accounting filing system Review accounting records for cost controls and perform reconciliations and analysis of manufacturing costs Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics Develop consolidation record keeping and reconcile intercompany accounts Prepares COGNOS (Business Warehouse reporting tool) reporting to parent Prepare forecasts and budgets for anticipated operations Prepare and create information for review of financial results with auditors or internal parties Assist and prepare data for corporate income tax return Assist with reporting and filing regulatory and government reports Prepare for ICS audits and maintain compliance Participates in the leadership of physical inventory process to assure acceptable results (includes planning meetings) Performs all other tasks as assigned Close interaction with other world-wide Plant Controllers located in Germany and the overall Supply-Chain Controlling and Finance team on Division and Group level Driving forward Division worldwide Supply Chain controlling activities (harmonized management reporting, strategic interactions with all stakeholders, cost competitiveness, etc.) Optimize finance related processes in current SAP 4 Hana System Your profile Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration Prior SAP knowledge is required (SAP R3 or SAP 4 HANA) Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment, ideally in an ISO certified company Knowledge of manufacturing processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Able to travel domestic/internationally (1-2 times per year) Ability to work well with other people and demonstrate team spirit behavior To set a good example for all subordinates and peers by acting in a professional and responsible manner as outlined in the company core values Working with Kardex Automated storage solutions are high-tech.
