Summary
The Manager, Finance reports directly to the Director of Finance and has overall accountability for overseeing our Accounts Payables/Receivables and Central Payment processing for both CSN Collision Canada and US . The Manager, Finance will be responsible for implementing best practices for accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with ASPE.
Primary Objectives of the Role
- Supervise the timely and accurate Monthly/Quarterly & Year End Financial Closing Process
Month end / quarter end review and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts such as AR, AP, accrual accounts, intercompany and insurance / rebate accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
Oversee all aspects of the General Ledger
Preparation of the Monthly /Quarterly Financial Package
Assist the FP&A Team in developing and maintaining business insights & analysis for quarterly Financial Reporting
- Supervise the AP/AR and Central Payment Process
Ensure billing accuracy and timeliness, making sure billing is complete and month-end requirements are met
Oversee the vendor rebate billing process ensuring timely and accurate billing
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments taking advantage of payment terms
Coordinate the onboarding of new insurance partners to central payment.
- Support the Finance team daily and act as mentor to the team members.
Ensure that staff have access to the appropriate resources and training
Identify and implement finance processes and support process improvement initiatives to achieve financial goals and improve efficiency and profitability.
Implement & manage internal control procedures developing and maintaining SOPs
Monitors staff’s ability to achieve department/company goals, providing guidance/assistance where necessary and escalating issues appropriately.
- Maintain the integrity of the Financial Systems .
- Provide support with external audits both Financial and CRA related
- Act as a key support to the Director, Finance in producing insightful, timely and accurate financial reports
Support with annual budgeting and quarterly projections.
Serve as the back up to the Director of Finance in the absence
Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
Education and Qualifications
Undergraduate Business degree.
Accounting designation (CPA, CA) completed or near completion
ERP Software Implementation and maintenance experience
7 plus years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
International/US Accounting experience
Knowledge of Dynamics ERP system and Sage accounting software an asset
Knowledge of the collision repair industry would be an asset
Bilingual in English and French is an asset
Work Environment and Requirements
This role is based out of our corporate office in Oakville, Ontario, which is an open concept office
This is a hybrid role, working from the office 2/3 times per week.
The environment for this role is fast paced and complex, with competing priorities and projects.
Travel requirements
Willingness to travel throughout Canada and the USA occasionally
