Working alongside the finance team, the Controller will be the expert in financial accounting, cost analysis, inventory management, Excel analysis, and bank transactions.A Day in the Life:Your day begins with presenting the monthly financial results to the CEO, followed by a morning coffee with the IT manager to discuss the implementation of the ERP system. You then take time to think about how you will map the general ledger for the new HRIS system. After a lunch break to recharge, later in the afternoon, you investigate a significant inventory variance and organize a call with the purchasing and production director. Your workday ends with a meeting with your assistant controller. Finally, you disconnect and head out for dinner and go-karting with the finance team!In your role, your main responsibilities will include:Ensure the production of monthly and annual financial statements, including detailed explanatory notes;Perform complex financial analyses and generate all required financial reports;Investigate discrepancies in financial reports by liaising with relevant departments;Produce monthly GST/QST reports to submit to Revenu Québec;Ensure rigorous management of cost control activities;Ensure the accuracy of inventory (quantity and pricing);Balance various general ledger accounts with the assistant (inventory, AP, AR, loans, fixed assets);Produce and coordinate the budgeting process with each department;Establish, review, and update internal controls and processes;Supervise the annual external audit for the assigned company within Techo-Bloc, including reviewing tax filings with relevant government bodies;Lead analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of special projects (e.g., consolidation of financial services, new incentive programs, ERP implementation, etc.);Participate in the profitability analysis process for all new products and projects.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;Experience in a manufacturing environment;3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience;A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role;Experience in cost control and finance;Strong proficiency with integrated management systems (ERP) such as Microsoft AX or SAP;Excellent command of the Office suite, with advanced Excel skills;Bilingualism (oral and written) is essential (English is required to serve our U.S. clients).Additional InformationWe thank all applicants for their interest; however, only successful applicants will be contacted.The use of the masculine gender has been adopted for ease of reading and is not intended to be discriminatory.
