Teck is a leading Canadian resource company focused on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition while caring for the people, communities and land that we love.
Teck's two regional business units, North America and Latin America, oversee Teck's assets through all phases of safe, sustainable development, operation and closure. The business units are supported by enterprise-wide functions that set strategic direction, establish standards and provide governance, as well as supporting the business through shared services, centers of excellence and business partnering.
Reporting to the Director, Risk, Insurance and Claims, the Sr. Specialist, Risk & Insurance will be a key team member in the ongoing management of Teck’s global insurance placements and claims management. The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of underwriter submissions on all lines of insurance coverage, the placement of certain insurance coverages, and will work independently throughout the organization to provide risk management education, training, direction, advice and coaching to Teck’s operational and management level professionals in functional roles within Teck to help ensure consistent and successful development and implementation of Teck’s insurance and claims processes and practices.
This is an exciting growth-focused opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with one of Canada's leading mining companies!
