About the Role Based out of our Deerfoot Meadows location in Calgary, AB we are looking for an experienced PART TIME Keyholder who can handle curveballs like champs. Not only will they be responsible for ensuring the store is in tip-top shape, but they’ll also become masters in everything cannabis and will be eager to share their new knowledge with our awesome customers. We’re looking for go-getters who love to meet new people and cultivate relationships and are excited to learn more about this up and coming industry. Customer Offering: Greet customers upon entrance, engage in meaningful conversations, and build relationships to understand their specific needs. Facilitate a welcoming and positive atmosphere for everyone in the store. Educate customers on cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and safe/responsible usage. Day-to-Day Operations: Promote our culture and brand by participating in merchandising and promotional activities. Collaborate with the Store Manager and team members to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent service. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge, staying informed on cannabis industry legislation, trends, and new products. Conduct routine store maintenance to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a professional environment. Complete customer transactions using the POS system and adhere to all cash handling and loss prevention protocols. Monitor inventory levels, assist with inventory counts, and re-stock products regularly to maintain stock availability. Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with all provincial cannabis regulations and adhere to federal cannabis laws. This includes the following certifications: BC: Selling It Right Certification. AB: SellSafe Certification and Qualified Cannabis Worker (QCW) status. SK: Cannabis Retail Training Program (CRTP). MB: Cannabis Retail Worker Training Program (CRWTP). ON: CannSell Certification. Support and promote Nova Cannabis’s and respective provincial regulatory bodies’ (AGLC/LCRB/SLGA/LGCA/AGCO) social responsibility programs. Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures. Uphold Nova Cannabis’s policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices. Experience and Qualifications: Minimum: 2 years of customer service experience. Minimum: 2 years of retail and/or hospitality experience. Cannabis, liquor, or healthcare experience is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Mandatory Certifications by Province: BC: Selling It Right Certification. AB: SellSafe and Qualified Cannabis Worker (QCW). SK: CRTP Certification. MB: CRWTP Certification. ON: CannSell Certification. Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check. Working knowledge of provincial cannabis regulations and safe handling requirements.
