6 Month Contract Position Summary: The TaylorMade Tour Van Operator and Club Builder is responsible for the operation of the Straight to the Tee Tour Van; ensuring the host facility is represented by an unmatched experience for their customers. The Tour Van Operator & Club Builder is responsible for driving the Tour Van to and from events, set up, and take down of all Tour Van related items. The Operator will build sold products at events and manage all inventory including the reordering shafts, heads, grips, and club building supplies. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and coordinating schedules with Experiential and Sales Representatives Maintain and deliver the Tour Experience to all scheduled events Develop and maintain effective partnerships with customers Build numerous golf clubs to exact specifications under a given timeframe Manage all inventory and the reordering of custom shafts, heads, grips and club building supplies Manage Tour Van vehicle including maintenance schedules, interior and exterior cleaning, service, etc. Maintain a high level of product and club building knowledge to assist customers Provide inventory reports and ensure all billing of sold products are processed in a timely manner Performs other responsibilities as required Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Must have a strong and sincere passion for the TaylorMade brands and products Be a constant professional and represent the brand in a positive manner and appearance Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic: high comfort level engaging with customers Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented Must be very dependable with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and handle competing priorities Ability to be proactive and assertive and be skilled at problem solving Must be empathetic and respectful to both customer and consumer needs Strong level of verbal communication skills Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to access internet to post hours worked and e-mail reports to Experiential manager Valid Ontario Drivers’ License and clean driving record Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications: Master club builder; (built numerous golf clubs) experience adjusting, repairing, bending, and regripping golf clubs Minimum of 2 years golf-related Custom Fitting/ Sales/ custom club building experience Golf industry, retail and/or education (i.e. PGM Program, Golf Academy) experience Must have up to date understanding of shaft manufacturer’s latest products and technologies PGA/PGM Affiliation preferred Must have Golf playing ability: 15 handicap or better Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Extensive travel. Must be able to travel to various locations for Experiential events. Extensive driving and hotel stays will be required (95% traveling). Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work including evenings and weekends and holidays when required. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
