OVERVIEW: We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Information Technology to join our dynamic IT team. Reporting to the Vice President, Technology, this position has overall strategic and operational responsibility for a technology portfolio within the IT division. As a member of the Technology leadership team, this role will ensure that their portfolio is well-managed and aligned with the strategic priorities of the organization. The Director manages the operational activities of their portfolio, ensuring that the systems are current, cost-effective, secure, and well integrated into the business. As a senior leader in the organization, the Director also works closely with decision makers from across the company to identify technology investments that will create additional operational efficiencies and strategic advantages for the organization in alignment with strategic and operating plans. This role supports technology projects to ensure they deliver the strategic and operational advantages envisioned by the business. WHAT YOU WILL DO: · Be an inspirational leader and mentor individuals, in the functional area, with the goal of building and retaining innovative, engaged and high performing teams. · Build trusted partner relationships with the company’s business leaders, and external entities to further business outcomes, as well as our strategic and operational plans. · Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of the our systems, while driving continuous improvement and innovation to support business goals. · Align system capabilities with evolving business requirements and business strategy, ensuring seamless reliability and user satisfaction. · Guide successful delivery of quality solutions that meet business partner expectations. · Provide recommendations, implement, and monitor the teams’ multi-year operating plan. · Develop effective working relationships across the company at all organizational levels. WHAT YOU WILL HAVE: · A degree or diploma in computer science or a related program. · A minimum of ten years’ experience in senior IT leadership roles. · Demonstrated strengths in negotiation, budgeting, planning, organizing, and delegating. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills including superior critical thinking and decision-making confidence of complex issues. · Demonstrated experience leading software development teams throughout the systems development life cycle. · Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication and demonstrated commitment to customer experience. · Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results. · Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that are aligned with business directions and priorities. · Exceptional talent developer with a commitment to coaching, mentoring, and retaining a solid team to support business needs. · Highly collaborative and supportive of business and of its ideals and strategies. · Excellent creative thinking, listening, and presentation skills. · Direct experience in partnering with an organization’s leaders to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results. · Demonstrated commitment to communicating with all levels of an organization. · Solid understanding of changes and trends in IT in support of operational and strategic initiatives. · Committed to the development of a solid team that is accountable for delivery and results. · Demonstrated effective change management skills. · Practical in approach to problem solving and decision making.
