Description
The VP of Field Sales will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving top-line revenue growth and optimizing profitability (P&L ownership) across the professional (PRO) sales channel. This individual will lead national field sales operations, manage distributor partnerships, and implement scalable strategies to increase market share of our topline products.
This role will report directly to the President of Bellami and will oversee roughly 50 field sales team members. Ideally we'd like to hire someone in the LA area for a hybrid schedule but are very flexible. Please apply even if not local.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the execution of profitable sales plans and the expansion of market share by guiding and empowering a high-performing team
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all professional (PRO) channels.
Own the P&L for the field sales division; monitor budgets, optimize margins, and report on KPIs.
Deliver against ambitious topline product sales targets while ensuring strong gross margin performance.
Travel in the field supporting commercial growth by actively engaging with key accounts that present business opportunities.
Conduct independent quarterly business reviews and strategy sessions with each team member to identify opportunities within their respective markets.
Lead team members in building brand awareness and increasing sales volume in alignment with company sales objectives.
Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability through regular coaching and performance reviews.
Support sales by participating in and facilitating education and promotional events, such as area classes, company shows and events, hands-on workshops, and in-salon education and store classes.
Oversee relationships with distributors and key accounts in the PRO channel.
Act as a close partner to the brand President to identify emerging trends and evolving customer needs, driving both near- and long-term business opportunities that support category and brand growth
Drive strategic expansion into new territories and high-value salon markets.
Negotiate distribution contracts and promotional partnerships aligned with company objectives.
Partner with Marketing, Education, and Product Development to ensure field sales strategies align with brand goals and customer needs.
Provide feedback from the field to inform go-to-market strategies and product innovation.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior in the professional beauty market.
Leverage data and field insights to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Be a part of the Sr. Leadership team for collaboration and providing up to date information within the sales department
Requirements
10+ years of sales leadership experience in the professional beauty or salon channel, with deep expertise in the PRO space.
Proven success owning a P&L and delivering sustained revenue growth.
Strong background in managing distributor relationships and national field teams.
Experience launching or scaling premium consumer products, preferably in beauty or haircare.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 30% as needed
