The Manager is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm. This position works closely with the People Group Leadership, Legal, Finance and Marketing functions, as well as develops and manages key vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a strength and passion for helping people. The successful candidate will be a quick-learner and able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the streamlined, successful administration of all benefits. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results People: Administers various employee benefits programs in Canada including healthcare, life, disability, retirement plans, health spending accounts, employee assistance programs, health club subsidies, adoption assistance, paid time off and leave of absence programs. Client: Works with employees, vendors, and brokers to handle benefit inquiries, complaints, and issues to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution. Manages escalated issues. Value: Evaluates and compares existing Firm benefits with competitors and best practices by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management. Develops and publishes ongoing employee communication, and prepares and hosts regular employee education sessions. Ensures that the benefit materials are current and up-to-date for all locations. Reviews plan documents and materials to ensure appropriate provisions and coverage. Supports the coordination and execution of annual plan renewals and enrollments, including the evaluation of proposals, the modification of benefit materials, the coordination of enrollment meetings, and the transmission of enrollment data to vendors. Oversees the administration of all leaves of absences and associated short- and long-term disability claims. Supports the Firm’s retirement plan administration. Administers the benefits and absence management module in the HRIS system. Keeps apprised of applicable benefit laws and regulations in order to ensure Company compliance. Exemplifies customer service orientation and effective verbal and written communication skills. Participates on committees, special projects, and seeks additional responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required with at least five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in benefits administration in a global environment. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Workday experience preferred. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
