About this Position We are looking for Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department. Responsibilities and Qualifications Responsibilities: Prepare and upload term life and segregated fund data to the Company’s data layer solution (the data layer) on a periodic basis Prepare control files to ensure accuracy and completeness of staging, enrichment, and aggregation processes Review data layer reports to ensure quarterly processes have been executed correctly and accurate through the data layer Responsible to run RiskIntegrity software (“RI”) and review RI reports to ensure processes have been executed completely and accurately Review transactional data output from RiskIntegrity and prepare journal entries for recording into Workday Financials Compare Workday Financial Reports with RI reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of transaction posting Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory filings, financial statements, and insurance-related note disclosures Reconcile insurance related balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis and investigate large or unusual variances Prepare various surveys and develop standard procedures for survey completion Review accounting and reporting pronouncements and updates on a periodic basis to assess changes in data and reporting requirements Perform impact assessment on data layer and other processes due to those changes, including impacts on insurance related disclosures Assist in all financial reporting related processes and controls improvement initiatives including upgradation of data layer and implementation of newer versions of RiskIntegrity software Financial reporting related special projects and other miscellaneous duties, as required Qualifications: Professional accounting designation – CPA, ACCA or another international accounting designation or pursuing towards the designation Minimum three to five years financial reporting and accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry, mainly life insurance Prior experience with regulatory reporting and/or audit is an asset Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills Work independently and manage tight deadlines and priorities Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills Highly flexible to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision Results-driven and highly detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced Excel skills and proficient in MS office programs It has been and will continue to be the policy of Primerica, Inc., and its subsidiaries to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
