Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent numerical skills, and a passion for sustainability. As an Accountant at Carbon Upcycling Technologies, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting our mission to revolutionize carbon utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transactions, invoices, payments, and receipts.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Expense Management: Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring adherence to budget and financial policies.
Asset Management: Assist in posting, evaluating, and managing assets and inventory records
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and information.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and budgeting processes, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with sustainability and carbon utilization industries is a plus.
