Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, invoicing, and vendor reconciliations
Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle GST and other government filings with accuracy and timeliness
Set up and map general ledger accounts in line with company structure
Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results, identify variances, and provide management with value-added reporting
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational improvements and cost control
Assist with WCB reporting
Process payroll as needed
Use advanced Excel functions to support analysis and reporting
Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy in all administrative and accounting functions
What You Bring to the Table
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
CPA designation preferred (or in progress)
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
In-depth knowledge of Sage 300 is required
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles
Experience in retail, franchising, or multi-location operations is an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required)
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
