The Inventory Analyst will be based out of our Abbotsford, BC, Cheese processing facility and report to the Plant Accountant. The Inventory Analyst will assist in overseeing inventory control for external warehouses including identifying and analyzing discrepancies, developing, and improving inventory control systems, maintaining detailed records of transactions, and verifying inventory counts. In this position you will collaborate with departments such as production, planning, and external suppliers and vendors to ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet business demands while following all food safety and health and safety protocols. This is a full time permanent position, Monday – Friday Schedule: Monday – Friday Salary: $60,530.00 - 75,610.00 / Annually Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training. Assist with inventory audits including recommending corrective actions Contact vendors to negotiate best pricing for raw materials Conduct research of inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and provide solution. Generate reports to analyze inventory count results Assist in performing financial review related to all inventory transactions Plan and schedule pickups of inventory items or supplies Provide back up coverage for Plant Analyst Trace transactions and analyze financial variances/discrepancies Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values Collaborate with operations team for continuous improvement opportunities Perform other duties as assigned You are best suited for the role if you… A minimum bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related fields Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. A minimum of 3 years hands-on inventory Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience with databases and spreadsheets. Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, computer-based applications, Maestro systems experience Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
