The Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a six-month Research Associate position. The Research Associate will be working under the direct supervision of Professor Steven Bernstein to support the development of a UTM initiative on Non-Violence, including exploring opportunities for collaboration with political science and other departments. Organize a workshop on non-violence at UTM that brings together experts at UTM and that may include opportunities for engagement with local stakeholders interested in supporting this initiative. Engage in research on non-violence.
Education:
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of research experience in Political Science, with demonstrated research in Non-Violence.
- Experience providing project management support and ensuring projects adhere to ethical and privacy requirements.
- Experience supervising a team, including effective teambuilding skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships and foster collaboration to achieve common goals.

- Superior communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a collaborative group.
- Ability to lead a project and co-ordinate research teams.
- Experience in training and monitoring performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
