Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions Division is looking for Quality Assurance Specialist to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
While part of the Quality Assurance team, this position will work within a team to ensure internal compliance with our Quality Management System and external compliance to Quality Standards (such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949). Our customers rely on Hexagon Autonomous Solutions industry leading technology when building their own solutions and have come to expect the highest quality product. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading quality planning and assurance activities for both customer and product development projects for Software and Hardware Development.
Performing internal process audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Conducting internal and project-specific audits aligned with ISO and other implemented quality standards.
Writing, reviewing, and maintaining effective process documentation to ensure processes are efficient and fit for purpose.
Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions (CAPA) to drive continual improvement.
Acting as a liaison for customer complaints, inquiries, and returns (warranty/non-warranty), and providing timely reports such as 8D and Failure Analysis (FA).
Preparing quality documentation and contributing to the development of quality plans as part of cross-functional project teams.
Supporting and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
Promoting a culture of quality, accountability, and results throughout the organization.
Acting as data administrator as needed to support SharePoint based QMS tool.
Qualifications
Must Have:
A degree in Technology and Quality Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience conducting internal audits.
Knowledge of product development processes
Knowledge of project management principles
Proficiency in writing technical documents and quality reports (e.g., 8D, CAPA, FA).

Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or SW development.
Internal Auditor Certification for Integrated Management Systems or IATF 16949:2016.
Certification in quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Engineer).
Experience with customer interaction in a quality assurance or quality control capacity.
Knowledge of Quality Standards such as IATF 16949, AS9100D, ASPICE.
Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and control plans as well as ability to facilitate and provide training.
Experience with electronic quality management systems (eQMS) is a plus.
