The ideal candidate will combine an exceptional, cross-functional program management skillset with a deep understanding of modern AI capabilities and value accretive applications in the financial services industry. AI Strategy & Value Creation Support the development of BMO InvestorLine's AI strategy Drive the ideation, prioritization, and synthesis of high-impact AI opportunities for InvestorLine Engage with vendors to scope solutioning of initiatives, providing guidance on AI system architecture to support business objectives Advise and support on the evaluation, monitoring, and controls of modern AI systems in order to meet business requirements Advocate on behalf of the employee, customer, and business throughout the lifecycle of each AI initiative – ensuring alignment with business strategy and evolving goals Develop robust, data-driven, quantitative business cases for initiatives Develop clear, compelling narratives with value-driven quants to secure funding and executive buy-in Bring a responsible AI mindset to value creation, establishing robust risk management and governance processes Track and communicate business value through and post launch Stay abreast of AI developments relevant to our business and industry AI Program Management Manage all phases of the AI initiative lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of solutions Develop and maintain AI initiative roadmaps, with clear timelines, interdependencies, and resource plans Build governance frameworks, define and track KPIs, and take the lead on Wealth and BMO risk reviews Manage E2E vendor engagements for prioritized initiatives, from initial scoping through implementation Craft business and technical requirements in partnership with business and technology teams Own sprint execution & delivery of initiatives while collaborating with business and technology teams Maintain backlog of features and initiatives, working cross-functionally to confirm trade-offs and priorities Manage delivery to agreed-upon milestones and sprints, proactively communicating and addressing risks & bottlenecks Coordinate across T&O, risk, compliance, change mgmt. etc. to unlock clear delivery paths Translate initiative performance tracking into lessons learned for iterative improvement Build a playbook for scalable, repeatable, AI program delivery across InvestorLine and BMO Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master's or PhD is an asset Expert knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and applications in industry Expert at managing cross-functional programs from conceptualization to delivery and sustainment Experience in managing agile / sprint based projects Experience in understanding business processes and crafting business and technical requirements Experience in project planning and execution, risk / issue management, stakeholder communication Verbal & written communication skills - Expert Collaboration & team skills - Expert Analytical and problem solving skills - Expert Influence skills - Expert Managing Ambiguity - Expert Data driven decision making - In-depth / Expert Salary: $94,600.00 - $176,000.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
