The Job:
Assisting the Sous Chef in the area assigned to him/her on the day.
Preparing of food in accordance with menu recipes, quality criteria’s and quantities required.
Maintaining the integrity and authenticity of recipes offered at the respective section.
Sourcing authentic ingredients and/or recommending substitute ingredients, if not available on the Maltese Islands.
Optimising cooking processes with attention to speed and quality.
Maintaining outlet safety at all times.
Consistently maintaining food and safety protection by ensuring that all food handling processes are compliant with food safety guidelines, regulations and procedures.
Participating in Training and Development programs offered by the organisation.
Maintaining a climate of friendly cooperation and work within budgetary framework established for the department
Additional ad hoc duties as directed by Head of Department
Additional ad hoc duties as the Employer may deem fit during the Term of the Agreement.
Job Requirements
Communication skills both written and spoken in English.
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
