looking for a Veterinary Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and

Compensation:
- $20–$22/hour, based on your knowledge and skill set
- Overnight Premium: $2 for all hours worked between 7p-7a
Anticipated Schedule:

- Potentially 10 or 12 hour shifts, days/swings, occasional weekends.
What You’ll Do:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our Internal Medicine, Surgery, and
Emergency & Critical Care teams in delivering high-level care. You’ll be an
essential part of our patient care flow — whether you're preparing an ER tray,
comforting a hospitalized patient, or keeping our clinic running smoothly.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Assisting with diagnostics and procedures like Fine Needle Aspirates, Tru-Cut
Biopsies, and surgical anesthetic setups
- Providing compassionate restraint and ensuring safety for patients and team
members
- Keeping patients comfortable with clean bedding and gentle handling
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and maintaining aseptic
technique
- Supporting surgery teams on procedures such as fracture repairs and mass
removals
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
What We’re Looking For:
- A high school diploma (Post-Secondary Animal Care Program preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in animal care (clinic, shelter,
wildlife center, etc.)
- A calm, confident presence with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Someone who can multitask under pressure and provide excellent client care
