We’re seeking a seasoned Tech Lead to drive the development of cutting-edge
Conversational AI Commerce solutions. In this role, you’ll architect and lead
the implementation of intelligent digital commerce experiences—powering natural
conversations through chat, voice, and multimodal interfaces. Reporting into the
Lead Architect, this is a critical role that combines technical expertise and
cross-functional collaboration to build scalable, customer-facing AI systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision and design of conversational commerce platforms
(e.g., AI chatbots, virtual shopping assistants, voice commerce).
- Work closely with product managers to help break product features down into
individual user stories using tools such as JIRA and Miro. Refine product
requirements providing technical and implementation details for the
development team.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend and frontend
systems.
- Drive integration of NLP/NLU technologies, generative AI models (e.g., GPT,
Claude), and APIs for commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce
Cloud, Magento).
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers and data scientists
to support the delivery of AI-driven user experiences.
- Mentor engineers and foster a high-performance team culture through code
reviews and design discussions.
- Coordinate with the global Architecture team, delivering a world-class
AI-driven commercial platform.
- Stay current with emerging AI, ML, and conversational technologies to
influence strategic decisions.
- Ensure code quality, performance, testing, and maintainability through best
engineering practices.
- Influence technical strategy and shape the future of customer interactions
Skills you have
- 6+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a
technical leadership role.
- Strong experience in building distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
using Node.js [http://Node.js], Python, or Java.
- Expertise in AI/ML integration, particularly around conversational AI (e.g.,
Rasa, Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, OpenAI APIs).
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps
practices (CI/CD, containerization).
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms and APIs (Shopify, BigCommerce,
Stripe, etc.).
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Able to work cross functionally across multiple teams in different time zones
- Aptitude to independently learn new practices and technologies as well as
prototype proposed software designs
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and multi-threading
(especially in real-time systems)
- Prompt engineering and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel)
- Knowledge of chatbot architectures (intent recognition, dialogue management)
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical business-related field
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations and/or business systems preferably
in a software/technology
- Salesforce Administrator certificate is preferred
- Familiar working in a fast growing environment
- Experience working in a startup
- SAAS experience preferred but not required
- Cloud Native development experience (GCP preferred but not
required)Experience working with GCP, AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of Microservices Architecture
