Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Section Manager Engineering in our Windsor, Ontario, Tool and Die facility. The Section Manager Engineering is responsible for is responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have prior management and design experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems Manage the design of progressive dies, transfer dies, using customers tooling standards. Review and manage all process layouts Review and assist in the management of all external tool builds. Over see and revise details of; assembly drawings, BOM's, 3D models and other manufacturing documentation for all types of tooling (progressive & transfer dies) Evaluate and verify dimensions, tolerances and finishes Work with engineers to update files for engineering changes Assist with keeping a clean, and safe working environment Assist in quotations for tooling division Customer interaction regarding die standards and follow up Review, analyze, and continually improve existing processes Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff Review, approve, or modify product designs Minimum Qualifcations: At least 5 years of experience as Tool Design Supervisor role in Automotive stamping industry Post secondary education in Engineering Knowledge of Design applications-Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Auto Form, an Asset Skills in 2D and 3D design and Solid Modelling Preferred Qualifications: Shop floor experience Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
