Job Description
The part-time banquet bartender maintains the highest standards possible for guests by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional bar service for banquet events.
Responsibilities
Properly setup and breakdown of area and service station
Prepare bar according to BEO for the event
Restock, replenish bar inventory, supplises in banquet cage/fridge as needed for current and future events
Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers
Maintain a clean work environment and adherance to Omni standards
Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is being served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working as bartender in banquets
Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
Strong guest service skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently
Excellent working knowledge of liquors, cocktails, beers and wine
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid Smart Serve certification
Strong communication skills in English. Additional language an asset.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift and push up to 25lbs
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
