Systems Analyst – Level 2
Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)
Security Clearance: Level II – Secret

We are responding to a federal government RFP and are seeking a Systems Analyst (Level 2) to support software engineering, systems analysis, and stakeholder engagement activities for military and defense environments. This role is focused on supporting Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Cyber (C4) systems and involves working with highly technical, multidisciplinary teams.
This position is contingent on contract award. Candidates must meet all requirements and be prepared to provide documented proof of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
Education:
An undergraduate degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution (or equivalent if obtained outside Canada and assessed) in one of the following fields:
Software Engineering
Computer Engineering
Systems Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Experience:
At least 6 years (72 months) of combined experience within the last 6 years, performing a minimum of four (4) of the following activities in the area of software engineering:
Production and review of detailed technical requirements from the analysis of higher-level operational or user requirements
Production and review of detailed technical requirements from the analysis of higher-level requirements gap analysis
Production and review of detailed technical requirements from the analysis of higher-level experience conducting requirements tracing
Detailed cost estimation of technical systems and support organizations for projects or programs with annual expenditures exceeding $1 million
Estimating time and resources required for others to carry out tasks and determining resource requirements to produce planning documents
Writing detailed engineering and/or contractual specification documents for complex technical systems within the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Cyber (C4) domain
Managing quality engineering and/or quality management tasks, system problem reporting, and problem resolution for software systems, including experience with ISO 9000, ISO 10006, QFD, CMMI, or other formal quality management systems
At least 5 years (60 months) of experience within the last 5 years conducting stakeholder engagement in support of system analysis work
At least 5 years (60 months) of experience within the last 5 years working in one of the following roles on Military C4 or ISR Software Systems:
Software Analyst
Systems Analyst
Systems Engineer
Costing Analyst
Asset Education:
A postgraduate degree in Software, Computer, Systems, or Electrical Engineering
