Position As the VP of Technology you will own and share ultimate responsibility for overall quality, performance and maintainability of the projects that are lead and the systems that are impacted. You will own and ensure tight working relationship with Product Owners and QA Team Leads. The VP of Technology will create solutions by leveraging the technology platform to produce the right technical solution in order to support our business initiatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage task assignment to team members and ensure delivery of work within established timelines • Participate in establishing and documenting solutions architecture and technical design • Participate in the selection of tools and technologies • Responsible for maximizing the maintainability and extensibility of the solutions • Participate in the creation of project plans, task breakdowns and time estimation • Oversee and conduct code reviews to ensure architecture and design are being followed, as well as proper coding and security practices • Responsible for quality control of the code produced by the team including adherence to unit testing practices • Responsible for deployment planning, sign off of deployment readiness and managing deployment task execution and troubleshooting • Responsible for the stabilization and support of production systems • Support the elaboration of potential features and business requests • Stays current in technical knowledge and software development practices • Provide regular updates to project managers and their Manager and immediate updates for issues encountered JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Computer Science degree or related formal computer training • Min 7 years of development experience with .NET technologies • Excellent knowledge of .NET 3.5 (or higher) including ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, web and windows services • Strong knowledge of MSSQL including database design, T-SQL and query optimization • Knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS, Jquery and modern web standards • 4+ years involvement with e-commerce solutions or other high traffic/volume web solutions • Experience leading a team of developers including the organizing and management of task assignment, technical oversight and adherence to established development practices • Microsoft certifications are an asset • Proven leadership skills • Knowledge of software development life cycle (waterfall and agile) • Excellent communication and time management skills • Excellent analytic and problem solving capabilities • Attitude of looking for solutions and not only finding problems • Strong technical learning skills and the ability to learn on the fly • Ability to direct others and maintain composure Business Unit: Leonardo Scheduled Weekly Hours: 37.5 Number of Openings Available: 1 Worker Type: Regular More About Jonas Software: Jonas Software is the leading provider of enterprise management software solutions to the Country and Golf Clubs, Foodservice, Construction, Fitness & Sports, Attractions, Salon & Spa, Education, Radiology/Laboratory Information Systems, and Product Licensing industries.
