Mikisew Group is currently looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Receptionist.
The incumbent is the first point of contact for the company, providing a professional and welcoming experience for visitors and employees while supporting administrative operations to ensure a smooth and organized work environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls professionally; take accurate messages or redirect to voicemail as needed.
Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure meeting rooms and common areas are tidy and well-stocked.
Set up meeting rooms with necessary supplies and assist with virtual meeting setups.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, courier packages, and deliveries.
Maintain accurate logs and directories (visitor logs, mail logs, etc.).
Order and manage office and kitchen supplies; operate standard office equipment.
Assist the Finance team with scanning, filing, and retrieving documents.
Provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant and Office Manager.
Handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold confidentiality.
Take initiative on process improvements and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company/organizational objectives.
Working Conditions
This is an in-office position based at our Enoch, AB location.
Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office environment in an administrative role is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in general office tasks, including filing, and working with Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
Ability to meet deadlines and manage assigned tasks efficiently
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Administrative Certificate is considered an asset
