Position Title: Senior Technology Specialist, Data Developer
Reports To: Lead Technology Manager, Data Platforms
Department: Data Platform & Integration
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you will be doing:
Assist with the design, implementation, and management of cloud data warehouse systems infrastructure including:
End-to-end solutions, operations, and support of the company’s enterprise cloud-hosted data solutions.
Actively participate in cloud data infrastructure and business system projects, including forecasting, management, and execution of related cloud platform activities.
Continuously create and improve business value through process improvement and automation, capacity planning, demand management, system operations, and solution innovation.
Provide critical support response to cloud-hosted data infrastructure or business system incidents (including highly critical, performance impacting) and problems.
What you will bring:
Three (3) to five (5) or more years of experience in IT, with at least three (3) years in a cloud-based platform engineering role.
Expertise and proficiency in building and maintaining cloud-hosted technologies, business systems, and web services platforms, including experience/exposure to:
Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy/Governance, Azure DNS, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Azure Backup, Azure Compute Resources, Azure Function Apps/Logic Apps, Azure Monitoring/Alerts.
Knowledge or experience with scripting/automation is a strong asset.
Familiarity or experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Containers and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services).
Certifications in AZ-900, DP-900. AZ-400 or DP-203 are an asset
Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack – network, storage, server, and applications
ITIL Certification is an asset
Experience with IaC with ARM templates and biceps.
Java, Python, Spark, PowerShell, C#/.NET, Bash.
Experience with planning, scheduling and executing production deployments for web applications including supporting artifacts such as Database Schema migrations as well as orchestration through CI/CD Pipelines
Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
