Harvest has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Consultant, reporting to the Team Lead, SCM. This is a temporary/contracted position based out of the Calgary Corporate Office.
Key Responsibilities:
5-7 years relevant Oil & Gas experience
Compliance - Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the Sourcing & Procurement Procedures.
Cost Savings / Avoidance - Generate cost savings / cost avoidance through effective supplier engagement and competitive sourcing practices.
Sourcing & Contracting - Conduct sourcing and contracting activities including, but not limited to, the following:
Market research, analyzing category/spend profiles,
executing sourcing events (RFx, Single Source),
negotiating contract terms with suppliers,
Collaboration - Strengthen collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet sourcing and procurement needs, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Communication - Effectively identify and communicate issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Fact-Based Decision Making - Integrate internal and external data to facilitate data-driven and transparent decision-making.
Improving Processes and Resolving Issues - Support continuous improvement initiatives with internal & external stakeholders to effectively manage issues throughout the sourcing and procurement cycle.
Reporting - Monitor and report supplier spend / performance against contractual expectations and resolve issues accordingly.
SCM Expertise - Deliver training programs for functional teams on forms, processes, policies, and audit compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, combined with deep expertise in supply chain methodologies and best practices.
Experience spanning 5-7 years in procurement and supply chain functions, with a demonstrated history of achieving measurable results and cost savings.
Direct experience in oil and gas supply chain with strong insights into industry standards and market trends.
Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and oral) skills, with a track record of making sound, timely decisions in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with others, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude to support collective success.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of quality in all work.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
Effective planning, scheduling, and prioritizing.
Excellent time management skills and self-motivated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Outlook etc.)
