RESPONSIBILITIES
An Equipment Operator with Highstreet is a key part in the organization and upkeep of a fast-paced multi-family construction site. This role is responsible for safe operation of rough terrain telehandler (Zoom Boom) and skid steer, waste diversion for sustainable and responsible recycling of construction materials, and organization and scheduling of garbage/recycling bin dump and returns.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform all duties assigned by the Foreman or Site Superintendent
Maintaining site cleanliness
Site organization
Offloading of construction materials
Loading trade materials into buildings where needed
Garbage scrap out from buildings
Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, brooms wheelbarrows, and other equipment
Adhere to relevant safety regulations
Any other duties as reasonably assigned
Work outside in all kinds of weather
Qualifications / Requirements:
1+ year(s) experience operating rough terrain telehandler
1+ year(s) multi-family construction experience
Have good physical conditioning and stamina
Possess general understanding of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines
Carpentry experience considered a strong asset
Communicate openly and ethically with a positive attitude
Thrive working in a fast-paced environment
Be a team player, be self-motivated and efficient
Additional requirements:
Satisfactory criminal and credit check.
Class 5 Drivers License and reliable vehicle required.
Employees are required to have a smartphone and be willing to download certain apps for timekeeping etc.
