Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the effective, functioning of the electrical systems, including installations, for the Calgary Plant.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems in the plant and for
the installation of new equipment.
- Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies, procedures and
HACCP regulations.
- Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers,
and visitors.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a valid Provincial Electrical Journeyman Certificate and/or Instrumentation Technician or a recognized Interprovincial Red Seal
Strong PLC experience and programming capabilities.
Experience in robotics an asset but not essential.
Strong Analytical troubleshooting skills.
Minimum two years of experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use
power and manual tools. Commercial industrial construction experience is an asset.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
Mental Stress: There is some modest pressure from deadlines or other productivity standards. Work is somewhat repetitious.
