Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a residence located in Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is full-time, live-out. Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with some flexibility required to work the occasional evening or weekend with notice.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You communicate well, both written and orally in English, and are comfortable working independently. You understand a home is a living environment, not just a workplace, and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence. You have reliable access to a vehicle without any competing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily housekeeping to include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors
Clean and rotate bed sheets once per week
Organize and maintain drawers, cupboards, closets, fridge etc.
Inventory management of the residence including cleaning products, groceries, and toiletries
Regular laundry and ironing, folding clothes and keeping them organized
Trash and recycling management
Basic meal preparation and cooking
Basic wardrobe management, packing and unpacking
Ensure household security protocols are followed
Weekly dry cleaning drop off and pick up
Answering the door, receive packages,
Occasional errands as needed
Sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly
Occasional driving of principals
Applicant Qualities:
Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
Detail oriented
Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds
Experience working in households with children and teenagers an asset
Full Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
