About the Grand CNE 50/50 Program
Each year, the CNE Foundation strives to raise essential funds that are vital
for sustaining and growing our charitable programs. The CNE community’s
compassionate support of our 50/50 fundraiser during the Ex enables initiatives
that make a meaningful impact throughout the year and collectively help uplift
the community we serve.
Tickets for our Grand CNE 50/50 raffle are sold online ahead of the CNE event,
and online and in-person during the CNE. The raffle is licensed by the Alcohol
and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Every raffle ticket purchased supports
CNE Foundation community and youth programs.
During each day of the event, Sale Ambassadors will sell raffle tickets from the
four Grand CNE 50/50 outdoor activations situated throughout the CNE site or by
roaming in assigned areas on the grounds.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, 50/50 Program, the Sales Ambassador, 50/50
Program will interact with CNE visitors to encourage the sales of Grand CNE
50/50 raffle tickets and to proactively communicate CNE Foundation messaging to
help build awareness about our charitable programs.
Responsibilities:
· Proactively interact with CNE visitors
· Communicate CNE Foundation messaging
· Sell 50/50 tickets from a mobile device and troubleshoot any device issues
· Follow internal sales procedures and AGCO regulations
· Achieve agreed upon sales targets
· Assist customers with questions about 50/50 fundraiser
· Assist with daily opening and closing duties related to assigned selling
location and ensure location remains neat and presentable throughout shift
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Previous 50/50 and/or ticket sales experience considered an asset
· Prior customer service or sales experience
· Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers
· Reliable, enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated
· Must be comfortable approaching CNE guests
· Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
· Familiar with mobile devices, with the ability to troubleshoot
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Available to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends for the duration of
the 2025 CNE (August 15 to September 1)
· Availability to work five to six days per week during CNE required
· Available to attend a full-day mandatory training session on Tuesday, August 5
at the CNE grounds
Special Conditions:
· Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather
conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain)
· Ability to stand or be stationary for extended periods of time
· Ability to lift boxes/items up to 25 lbs
· Required to dress in appropriate uniform
