Location: Remote or Edmonton South Admin This posting is for a 6-month temporary full-time position You’re at the forefront of crafting exceptional online experiences for ama.ab.ca & amatravel.ca. You’ll be building pages based on UX designs & editing content pages, ensuring seamless translation of digital design prototypes & maintaining the website's accuracy & relevance. Armed with expertise in HTML5, CSS3, UX/UI & proficiency in Design, SEO & Analytics tools, the front-end designer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to optimize website performance, ensure content is up to date & ready for marketing campaigns, implement SEO strategies & drive digital success. You are interested in user testing and research, and enjoy sitting in on testing to find out more about your users. WHAT YOU’LL DO Report to the Manager, Web & Digital Performance. Build and code all new content landing pages from UX/UI Design mockups & prototypes for the ama.ab.ca and amatravel.ca websites. Build and code all new content pages within existing templates available in our custom content management system. Help source stock images when building and updating landing pages. Working closely with marketing to ensure content is kept up to date including pricing, regulatory information, & partner content. Build reusable code & libraries for future use. Ensure the accurate translation of digital design prototypes with a consistent look & feel that’s in accordance with AMA Style Guide & Brand Guidelines. Maintain an extensive backlog of website update requests from marketing and varying stakeholders across 10+ business units. Manage cross-department pages with input from other Front End Designers. Assist the SEO Specialists with on page, off page & technical SEO tactics. Look for on page SEO opportunities & improvements and make recommendations. Work closely with the Digital Performance & Optimization team to assist in set up of A/B testing, QR codes, web analytics tagging, tracking and dashboard set up. Build out processes & procedures to ensure the website is maintained & updated in a consistent manner. Work with the software development team to track bugs, propose content management system improvements & identify areas of improvement. Research and apply new vendor tools to enhance our existing techstack. Support the Creative Agency with website banner and email banner designs as needed. Assist with website planning & development based on web trends, UX/UI best practices, analytics and SEO. WHAT YOU’VE DONE You have a university degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field such as Computer Science, Digital Media, Digital Design, Web Design and Development, or Marketing & Communications. You have a minimum of 3 years of applied and progressive experience in web design, front end development, new media or Marketing & Communications with a focus on website maintenance. You have experience with building layouts in Photoshop Experience with Javascript, SEO, Analytics, UX Design, Digital Marketing are considered assets.
