The Opportunity
Position Summary:
Under close supervision, and in accordance with established policies, procedures
and care plans, performs a variety of routine client care support activities to
optimize the functional abilities of residents. Duties may include assisting
with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), instructing craft classes, assisting with
social events, group exercises and games. Responsible for other related duties
as required.
Program Summary: Complex Care – for frail seniors who require the care of an
interdisciplinary team to maintain and improve quality of life in safe,
comfortable and supportive environments. Carewest offers a mix of secured and
unsecured units.
Qualifications & Experience:

Graduation from Grade 12.
-
Current and active Basic Life Support Provider CPR is required.

PCA, Certificate in leisure activities or equivalent.

Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Related experience in a hospital or continuing care facility is preferred;
-
Geriatric experience is an asset;

Program specific training/experience is an asset.
