ResponsibilitiesAssists with didactic and practical training of formal Mayo Clinic of School of Health Science education programs and/or allied health staff education needs within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP). Assist with the development and implementation of lectures using research and best practice information. Maintain competency in both inpatient and outpatient lab service technician related skills.
**Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic**
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.
Two years of experience in Laboratory Services or a two-year degree in health-related sciences with experience in phlebotomy required.
Effective oral, written, listening and coaching skills coupled with didactic and 'hands on' teaching skills are essential. Good human relation skills are necessary. Phlebotomy certification required
Foreign trained lab personnel provide a detailed equivalency High School evaluation to include US equivalent degree at the applicant's expense.
