The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (SFFA) is committed to supporting foster families and creating nurturing environments for children and youth in care across the province. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Domestic Support Worker to assist with housekeeping and childcare within a home in Deer Valley, SK. This is a part-time position, with potential for additional hours in the future.
Position Overview:
As a Domestic Support Worker, you will play an integral role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe home environment, while also providing occasional support with childcare duties. You will be responsible for performing various housekeeping tasks and contributing to the overall well-being of the children in the home by supporting caregivers in daily routines as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, a caring and patient demeanor, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Criminal Record Check (inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check).

Valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.

Ability to read and follow instructions.

Understanding of safety practices when using cleaning agents.

Comfort and experience working with children in a home or care setting.

Previous experience in house cleaning, childcare, or support roles (e.g. nannying, early childhood education, foster or group care) is preferred.
