Job Overview
As a Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring Site Quality Programs comply with all company policies and procedures and all customer, GFSI and regulatory requirements. Also serves as the SQF Practitioner for their sites.
This role is a temporary 6 month contract with a standard 37.5 hour work week. Supporting both our Clark Brampton, ON facility & Rivermede Concord, ON facility.
What You Will Get To Do
Owner of all Compliance Programs including but not limited to: HACCP, SQF,CAPA, Food Defense, Calibration, Traceability
Ownership includes planning, implementing, executing, and maintaining all aspects of these programs with a continuous improvement mindset to improve the Site Quality Systems
Implementation of corporate policies at the site level
Serve as SQF Practitioner
Ensure sites are prepared for all Internal, MDLZ, GFSI, Regulatory and Customer audits.
Serve as Site Lead for all quality audits and regulatory visits.
Serve as CAPA Lead for all NC’s identified during quality audits and regulatory visits
Assure compliance with the FDA/CFIA food laws
Develop and deploy training on Food Safety & Quality Management in alignment with Corporate Quality, as per GFSI requirements and corporate policies to maintain or exceed target audit scores, while ensuring consistent compliance with national and international food industry standards
Ensure training and education for the food security team as well as for the operators that monitor critical points
Recipe For Success
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Biology, Engineering, Microbiology, Operations Management or a related field
3 years of experience in Quality Assurance
Technical knowledge of quality and food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Technical knowledge of Food Manufacturing processes, Sanitation and Microbiology
Experience dealing with regulatory agencies (i.e. CFIA, FDA)
Submitting and implementing corrective/preventive actions plans
Proficient with Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with Plant Quality and Operations colleagues
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to document findings and data clearly, concisely, and accurately
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Well organized and self-motivated, and able to work well both independently and in cross-functional teams
Action driven
Strong knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, Preventive Controls and Quality Systems
Statistical processes and problem solving techniques
