Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Project
Controller to join ONEX River Fabrication Shop. This fulltime role will be
responsible for controlling the project cost; this includes LEMs creation,
planning, developing, controlling, client invoicing and forecasting the
project's budget. Evaluating project and conducting cost analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily LEMs creation and submission to Project Managers.
- File and save 3rd party LEMs to project for costing.
- Assist with developing and implement project cost control strategies, coding
and methods.
- Collaborate and assist cost control team.
- Importing estimate/budgets into project software and tracking.
- Cost monitoring, control and closing.
- Analyze and control cost trends, reports on trends, and monitor cost.
- Identify, evaluate, and communicate financial risks to the project manager.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed cost reports and assist project
managers with forecasts.
- Create and issue invoices for project manager approval, including
correspondence with Accounts Receivable and client clarification.
- Assist Project Managers with client specific cost related reports and
forecasts
Our Ideal Candidate
- Degree or Diploma in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 15+ years of proven experience as accountant, project controls or project
coordinator within an industrial construction environment.
- Proficiency with various software such as; Sage, SharePoint, MS Office,
Adobe, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and/or via email.
- Preferred knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
