Our hospital is equipped with an array of advanced diagnostics including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and comprehensive in-house lab services.
We are a privately owned hospital, empowering you to practice medicine your way while enjoying collaboration with experienced professionals in Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Anesthesia, Oncology, and Cardiology. Our Registered Veterinary Technologists are highly skilled, well-supported, and eager to continue advancing their knowledge in internal medicine.
Position Summary:
As our newest Internist, you will join an established Internal Medicine team with two other internal medicine specialists focused on excellence in diagnostics, case management, and collaborative patient care. You will contribute to a dynamic caseload that includes referrals, complex internal medicine cases, and co-managed patients from our in-house emergency and other specialty departments. Our 24/7 Emergency DVMs also support your cases overnight to ensure the highest quality of care. Our highly skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologists are experienced in advanced procedural care and anesthesia, and are excited to support expansion.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment, values strong communication, and is passionate about building long-term relationships with clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. We have a strong and varied referral base with a host of referring veterinarians eager to collaborate.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Diplomate status (ACVIM/ECVIM) or completion of a residency in small animal internal medicine and ability to write board examination
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to high standards of patient care
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in both independent and team-based decision-making
- A positive, forward-thinking approach to challenges and new opportunities
- A passion for teaching summer students, final year veterinary student primarily from UCVM and WCVM, and a new established internship program
