Drive the strategic evolution of internal mobility experiences within Amazon's
Talent Acquisition Technology organization. In this influential role, you will
reimagine how Amazon connects its global workforce with career opportunities,
creating innovations that transform the internal hiring experience at
unprecedented scale. You will own critical technology solutions that enable
Amazon to identify, develop, and mobilize exceptional internal talent who will
drive our customer-obsessed culture forward. Your contributions will directly
impact Amazon's ability to build high-performing teams across the company
through streamlined internal hiring workflows, intelligent talent matching, and
intuitive self-service experiences that empower both employees and managers
throughout their career journeys.
Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the Talent Acquisition product team, you will collaborate
with fellow product managers to execute on our shared vision for transforming
how Amazonians navigate their career journeys. You will take ownership of
specific components within the internal mobility ecosystem, focusing on
streamlining and modernizing the Internal Transfer experience. Your work will
involve designing self-service capabilities that reduce friction in the internal
transfer process, allowing employees to efficiently discover opportunities
aligned with their career aspirations while enabling managers to identify
internal talent that matches their team needs.
Working closely with AI/ML specialists, you'll help develop intelligent
solutions that proactively connect employees with relevant roles based on their
skills and experience. You'll partner extensively across engineering, design,
recruiting operations, and HR to ensure your solutions integrate seamlessly with
Amazon's broader talent acquisition infrastructure, including Hire, Talent
Exchange, and Amazon Journey Builder. Through careful measurement and analysis,
you'll continuously refine your product components to improve key metrics like
time-to-fill and internal mobility rates. You'll also play a crucial role in
change management, driving adoption of new tools while ensuring compliance with
Amazon's hiring policies. Your success will be measured by your ability to
deliver technical solutions that make internal mobility more accessible,
transparent, and effective for all Amazonians, from frontline associates
exploring corporate opportunities to experienced professionals seeking their
next challenge within the company.
A day in the life
Your calendar reflects the multifaceted nature of product ownership—shifting
seamlessly between strategic and tactical. You toggle between analyzing internal
mobility metrics and collaborating with engineers on a critical service
degradation in the Internal Transfer Workflow.
You carve out focused time to review UX prototypes for a new experience
connecting Managers with internal candidates within A to Z, providing feedback
that balances employee delight with technical feasibility.
A quick coffee chat with a peer in operations yields valuable insights about the
challenges frontline managers face when supporting employee growth while
managing their own headcount needs. This conversation sparks ideas for new
features that could help balance individual career aspirations with business
continuity.
Throughout it all, you remain anchored by the knowledge that each improvement to
your platform impacts tens of thousands of Amazonians' career journeys and
ultimately, Amazon's ability to develop and retain exceptional talent. Your work
is transforming how the company approaches internal mobility—creating pathways
for associates to grow their careers and enabling managers to build
high-performing teams with the best internal talent in the right roles.
