Position Title: Key Account Manager Reports To: Customer Team Lead Location: Markham, Ontario - Hybrid POSITION SUMMARY Develop, manage, and achieve volume, profit and share objectives on all Smucker Consumer products within assigned account. Build strategic relationships with customers to develop JMS brands in the Canadian marketplace ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY Develop & implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade investment budgets and strategies which are consistent with Smucker brand and corporate strategies. Work closely with Customer, Team Leader, Category Strategy, Deduction Analysts and internal Smucker stakeholders, to identify, develop and execute annual business building plans for the account. Fully utilize all Post Promotion Analysis, Price Modeling and POS resources to better evaluate, plan and execute the business. Lead strategic and insight based initiatives for assigned account by leveraging Category & Shopper Insight teams. Achieve full line distribution for all Smucker products with emphasis on maximizing product volume and gross margin. Establish and maintain frequent contact with account personnel, particularly merchandising, operations, supply chain and finance. Achieve desired Accounts Receivable and Trade Investment goals through working closely with Smucker Trade Promotions personnel & Trade Finance. Coordinate and communicate all relevant account priorities for retail sales team to achieve desired results through Acosta retail sales personnel (merchandising, pricing, distribution, pricing, planograms). Perform Retail Audits in assigned account and competitive retailers to monitor execution of Smucker brands and competitive intel Report on all competitive and required information on a timely basis (ie. Weekly, Qtrly Reviews). Work closely with the demand planning team to provide ongoing forecast requirements leveraging ongoing Shipment, Inventory & POS analysis. QUALIFICATIONS University degree, Business degree preferred Minimum 2 to 3 years Account Management experience Proven Leadership Skills and proven ability to execute strategic initiatives Excellent negotiating, assessment and analytical abilities Proven ability to build and execute business plans with customers Fully competent with Microsoft Office applications Team and results oriented with effective written & communication skills.
