As the Director of Portfolio Analytics and Decision Support Capability at AstraZeneca, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our portfolio analytics and decision support systems. Your mission is to ensure that platforms like the Portfolio Control Tower and Planview Advisor (PIVOT) deliver high-quality, insightful portfolio management. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive improvements and support our business success. Accountabilities Platform Strategy & Product Leadership Drive evolution and enhancement of portfolio analytics and decision support platforms, including Portfolio Control Tower, PIVOT, and future capabilities. Lead portfolio analytics initiatives by collaborating with senior functional leaders and platform owners, implementing elements of the broader strategic roadmap focused on technology, data, and process improvements. Own vendor relationships and partnerships relevant to portfolio analytics systems, including contract management and performance oversight. Process & Systems Optimization Drive platform enhancements, prioritize new capabilities, and anticipate business needs to ensure analytics decision support remains future-ready. Align standard processes and champion integration by supporting the adoption and continuous improvement of portfolio analytics solutions at enterprise scale. Lead process and systems improvement, implementing change management strategies to optimize adoption, efficiency, and compliance. System Ecosystem Enablement Build and maintain the ecosystem supporting the Portfolio Control Tower, including development and delivery of system trainings, resources, and user enablement materials. Develop and implement a proactive communication schedule to support platform awareness, updates, and ongoing engagement among collaborators and users. Provide targeted user support, ensuring business teams can improve system value, resolve adoption challenges, and leverage analytics for key decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration Develop and deliver comprehensive training and user enablement programs for portfolio analytics platforms, building out the necessary support infrastructure to empower both technical specialists and business users to enhance system value and adoption. Engage cross-functional domain experts to address system or process challenges and deliver solutions in a sophisticated, matrixed organization. Serve as a key point of contact for collaborator and cross-functional leadership, driving impactful execution and value delivery. Planning, Governance & Reporting Support Oversee business-as-usual (BAU) service for analytics platforms, handling issue triage, prioritizing requests, and supporting key business planning cycles. Support the business calendar (e.g., Therapeutic Area Strategy, Mid term plan, Long term plan) through insightful analytics and timely data provision. Contribute to robust governance practices, maintaining data standards, compliance processes, and system integrity across platforms. Essential Skills/Experience Meaningful experienceith portfolio analytics, data platforms, or systems within a matrixed/global organization. Hands-on experience in database management, reporting, and analytics tools (Planview Advisor or similar preferred). Familiarity with financial/valuation modeling (DCF, NPV, P&L, PTRS) is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred. 5-demonstrated ability with portfolio analytics, data management, or related process improvement work. Desirable Skills/Experience Experience with the drug development process or a related environment is advantageous. Ability to collaborate optimally across teams and functions and communicate technical concepts to business collaborators.
