As a Regional Account Manager (RAM) in Neurology, reporting to the Franchise Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in raising awareness about Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD). These conditions demand accurate diagnosis and treatment, and your mission will be to ensure healthcare professionals are equipped with the knowledge they need. Your role will involve establishing solid customer connections, crafting referral networks, and achieving strategic account strategies to meet business objectives. Your collaboration with internal teams and understanding of customer needs will be crucial in driving success.
Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining strong in-depth disease, diagnostic, and product knowledge leading to effective education of, and a call to action for, key participants.
Devising strategic account roadmaps for all top accounts/treatment centers, encompassing the identification of key decision makers and the performance of situational analysis.
Collaborating across departments to strategize for efficient patient results.
Providing a high level of customer service to all key partners.
Applying marketing tools and accomplishing local promotional activities and programs.
Planning, organizing, and carrying out on-site and online activities to improve customer experience.
Achieving or exceeding sales objectives in assigned territory.
Admin:
Crafting, presenting, and maintaining strategically targeted key account plans.
Tracking activities and submitting reports on sales activities accurately & on time.
Completing assigned training in a timely manner.
Leading time, Customer Relationship Management tool, resources, and workload efficiently.
Ensuring compliance requirements are met consistently.
Collaboration:
Leading development and implementation of customer-focused tactics within the territory.
Interacting proactively with internal cross-functional teams to improve resources.
Collaborating with Marketing, Diagnostics, Access, and Medical to find opportunities and develop Plan of Actions.
Aligning with all laws, regulations, and policies governing Alexion activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BSc is preferable) with a minimum of 5+ years field-based sales experience (rare disease biotechnology environment preferred).
Detailed track record for consistently delivering outstanding sales results.
Proven track record to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment on a consistent basis.
Relevant market knowledge preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills – both verbal and written.
Influential presentation style with proven ability to uncover and address customer needs and optimally handle customer concerns and questions.
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency, well-organized, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Ability to build rapport and form relationships with a diverse customer base.
Strong business, analytical and clinical competence.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel.
