EXP Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Municipal Infrastructure team in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of municipal projects in British Columbia and across Western Canada, including linear utilities, transportation systems, and treatment facilities. You’ll collaborate with fellow project managers and engineers to oversee design, coordination, and execution from concept to completion.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects (roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, etc.) of varying size and complexity.
Provide detailed engineering design solutions and input on the design process for projects, both complex and small, including providing support to other Project Managers and other design team members.
Write, sign and seal reports/drawings as required.
Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents.
Ensure quality control and compliance with corporate requirements, industry standards and municipal / regulatory requirements.
Monitor project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility and report the status as required on a regular basis.
Manage multidisciplinary project teams and liaise with clients, municipal approving authorities, stakeholders, regulatory bodies and contractors, as needed.
Pursue the obtaining of all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial agencies.
Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as needed.
Actively pursue new business opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
Coordinate design and field staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staff.
Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites and report to Manager and Joint Health and Safety Committee Members.
Oversee project delivery from concept to construction, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
What your experience looks like
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia or eligibility for license/equivalent
Minimum10 years of experience in Municipal engineering and project management
Proven track record managing and delivering municipal infrastructure projects
Brownfield redevelopment experience is an asset
Strong detail orientation
University Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with strong leadership and team-building skills
Strong understanding of the local industry, municipal standards, and regulatory environment
Project Management experience
Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications
Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact
A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
Ability to multi-task is critical, must be able to meet deadlines
Proficiency and extensive experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation would be an asset
The salary range for this role is between $155,000-$175,000. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
