RAC WA is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Construction Program Manager to oversee a strategic new initiative for RAC involving starting up a new Car Wash business as well as expanding our existing Auto Service sites in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project that will establish a new business venture for RAC. This will be a 12–24-month max-term contract to start with a view to extend. What will you be doing? Strategic project governance & delivery – Control schedule, scope, budget, risks, and dependencies for complex operations, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of all project components. Cross-functional solution design – Work closely with RAC teams and external stakeholders to design and implement strategies for successful operationalisation. Coordinate across multiple streams including, external consultants and contractors, and internal business units including, commercial, legal, brand and member experience, technology, recruitment, training, procurement, and go-live readiness. Stakeholder management & collaboration – Lead communication with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, people teams, and key partners such as construction contractors and builders and development teams, to ensure seamless handover and smooth transition to operations. Integration & operationalisation of sites – Oversee the takeover or build of Car Wash sites. Ensure proper documentation and planning for the integration and handover to operations. Risk, compliance & quality assurance – Identify potential risks unique to operations in locations, such as logistics challenges, Integration and shifting construction timelines, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks. Executive reporting & governance – Prepare and present regular status reports and Steering Committee presentations, offering clear insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making. Change leadership & business readiness – Lead the change management process, overseeing communications, training, onboarding, and go-live activities. Support transition plans to ensure that all aspects of the location operations are fully integrated into day-to-day business activities. Team leadership & people management – Motivate project teams and collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and a successful launch. Manage the challenges of differing priorities among team members and external partners. What are we looking for in you? Infrastructure/ Construction experience – Experience in setting up, opening, integrating, operating and or managing Car Washes or similar projects, starting up businesses (ideally) and or building renovation experience, with good knowledge of NCC and relevant standards. Leadership & stakeholder management – Proven ability to manage diverse teams, stakeholders and navigate the complex logistics and unique challenges of opening a new business venture. Strong communication & problem-solving skills – Ability to coordinate across different teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexibility & adaptability – Experience in managing projects with evolving timelines, particularly in construction and operations. What can we offer you?
